# Email from is “WordPress”

 * When I do a test email, it is labeled as from “WordPress”, with a wordpress.[
our domain].com email address. Is this how it looks when regular recipients get
   it?
 * Recipients have been saying they haven’t been getting emails, but I’m wondering
if it’s because it says it’s from “WordPress” that they are ignoring them. If
so, it’s a bug that has just shown up recently.
 * How can I fix this? Thanks.

 * This is not a duplicate, it’s a totally different issue. I have found since I
posted this that the live notifications (vs test) do have the correct “From”
name and email, but not the test. Since the test is to find out how it’s working,
this should be fixed. It should have the same “From” as live notifications, otherwise
   the test is confusing. Thanks.

 * My apologies [@jamminjames](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jamminjames/),

I’m not sure what happened but I completely confused a few support messages that
I was dealing with. You’re quite right: this support message is not a duplicate
and I’ll reply to your other one shortly too.
 * To answer your question, test notifications use a very simple set of circumstances
to ensure a few things work, notably the styling and output of the message body
of the notification. If you want to test a notification fully, you’ll need to
set-up a notification with only the people you want to receive it for the test
and to trigger the notification as normal.
 * Choosing some details for the test notification is on the roadmap but there’s
no timeframe for this as yet.
