Yes, attendees can have the same e-mail address when doing bulk purchases. I noticed in your message, both e-mail addresses have a space between the name@ and the domain nomail.com, which indeed is an invalid address. There should be no spaces between the name and domain.
Hope this helps.
Hello Konstantin,
No, I put the spaces in the email because I didn’t want your forum to think it was a real email. That was just an example that I created for this post. Her emails did not have spaces and are legit. However while checking the emails listed in Attendees I notice that many of her emails are in all caps. (ie. RSMITH@NOMAIL.COM )
Maybe therein lies the problem?
Thanks,
Rob Teed

E-mail in all caps is also fine. Also note, that if any of the info filled out during the Attendee Information screen is invalid, you will not see any Attendees created in the admin. If you do, it means that your user has gone past that screen and on to PayPal, which they then leave by pressing the Cancel link, and setting the Attendees status to Cancelled in CampTix.
Perhaps the “incorrect e-mail address” error they’re referring to came from PayPal?
Hello Konstantin,
Ok, Well they are purchasing by regular mail. I will just add them manually. I ran a purchase through paypal without errors so I can only assume she made a mistake along the way.
I love the plugin, Making this ticket sales quite easy.

I’m having a similar problem with invalid email errors.
We use your ticketing plug-in for our children’s theater tickets and are having issues with two things regarding invalid emails.
1. In general anyone with a .net address gets an invalid email error message and can’t purchase tickets.
2. Someone who has successfully purchased tickets in the past is now unable to purchase tickets using the same attendee information (name, email, etc).
This plugin has really streamlined our ticketing process and I love it!

Hi Sherri,
1. I can’t reproduce this problem on my test server, and WordCamp.org has thousands of .net addresses registered. Can you send post some examples of addresses that fail, and the exact error message that they get?
2. I can’t reproduce this problem either. Can you describe in detail what happens when you try to register with the same info?
