    Error while sending via Gmail mailer: {
    “error”: “deleted_client”,
    “error_description”: “The OAuth client was deleted.”

    This notice is shown to you because last email delivery failed. Actually, exactly like it’s written in its text.

    Make sure that the used Client ID/Secret correspond to a proper project that has Gmail API enabled.
    Try to use a separate project for your emails, so the project has only 1 Gmail API in it enabled. You will need to remove the old project and create a new one from scratch.
    You should go to https://console.developers.google.com to check your project and Secret ID/Secret.
    You should go to https://admin.google.com to be sure that Gmail app is activated and check there all the settings (if you are using G Suite).

    Thank you! It worked!

    Hi.
    I have similar error after the update. Did an email test and work perfectly.
    There is no way to get rid of the Error or dismiss it on top of the screen?

    EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: WP Mail SMTP plugin logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    You have a completely different issue.
    If Email Test is successful (or actually any other successful email delivery) – it should have cleared that debug notice. If you have an object cache – try to clear it.

    Check the last email that was sent (install the email logging plugin if you don’t have it). The last email was rejected by the SMTP Host.

    I flushed wp cache, redis cache and object cache and still the error remain on top. I can see on redis primalforce-rediswp_:options:wp_mail_smtp_debug – 0.13k even after flushing redis cache.

    I’m getting this too, only mine is bringing up log entries from more than a month ago that have since been resolved (can sent emails via email test):

    EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: WP Mail SMTP plugin logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    Error while sending via Gmail mailer: {
    “error”: {
    “errors”: [
    {
    “domain”: “usageLimits”,
    “reason”: “rateLimitExceeded”,
    “message”: “User-rate limit exceeded. Retry after 2018-05-16T17:06:24.092Z (Mail sending)”
    }
    ],
    “code”: 429,
    “message”: “User-rate limit exceeded. Retry after 2018-05-16T17:06:24.092Z (Mail sending)”
    }
    }

    i can confirm … so @slava please fix this issue with a new plugin update :). Thank you very much.

    I see the source of your issue, will be fixed in 1.3.1.

    @linkbird

    What exactly you confirm? In this thread, there are several different types of notices.

    Thanks @slaffik. It is possible that redis cache is causing this issue. Are you storing this alerts in transients?

    And this is mine:

    EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: WP Mail SMTP plugin logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    There was a problem while retrieving Mailer for gmail: Could not json decode the token

    This is a Google library compatibility issue, I think. You have some other plugin that loads google/apiclient-services library (that we use to send your emails), but its old version (v1.1.x). WP Mail SMTP uses the latest version to date (v2.2.2).

    Should be fixed in the next WP Mail SMTP version. But this your error is not there all the time, I believe, most of the time it should work just fine.

    @frnkoc

    Not in transients, ordinary options and we clean that after successful sending. There was an issue with Other SMTP not clearing up (fixed in 1.3.1), Gmail should be fine.

    Hey Slava, when you say it is a conflict with another plugin do you mean a contact form plugin? Because an error is always there and people cant send emails using the contact form from my site.

    Now I see this error instead of the old one:

    EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: WP Mail SMTP plugin logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    Mailer: Gmail
    {
    “error”: “invalid_grant”,
    “error_description”: “Token has been expired or revoked.”
    }

    This can be triggered by a handful or things, but the most common things we see that cause it is:
    – Changing/resetting the password on your Google account
    – Enabling 2 factor auth on your Google account

    These actions, or similar ones, typically will invalidate the existing tokens. When that happens you have to disconnect the auth in the plugin settings and run through the setup process again.

    Ok thanks, it is working now.
