• When I click on the link in the subscribe confirmation email, it goes to a page-not-found Error 404. There does not appear to be anywhere to specify the page that the confirmation email should go to. We did specify a page under Subscribe2 > Settings > Appearance, which IS being shown when the person first enters their email address. However, this page is NOT appearing when a person clicks on the confirmation link in the email sent to them. Perhaps as a partial result, all the subscribers are shown in red under Subscribe2 > Subscribers, and are shown as unconfirmed.

  • No, it’s definitely a page. When I go to my WordPress admin area, and click on “Pages,” then click on “All Pages” there is a page there called “Your Request is Almost Complete.” That’s the page that shows on the blog after you enter your email address and click on Subscribe.

    When I go to Appearance, then Widgets, over on the “Main Sidebar” there is an entry for “Subscribe2 Widget: Subscribe” and when I click on the down arrow next to it, there is a place where I can specify “Post Form Content to Page” and under that is shows “Your Request is Almost Complete.”

    There is no red error message under my Subscribe2->Settings warning me that I have no pages. I checked all of the tabs under settings.

    @llkforms,

    This is very strange, I think I may need to see some screen shots of your settings if you can provide them.

    Would it just make sense for me to provide you access to my blog admin? I’m willing to do that if you are. You can email me at [ redacted ] and we can figure out a time you want to do it and I will make a temporary password and send it to you.

    Or I can provide screenshots, should I mail them to you? If so I’ll need your email address, or is there another way to do it. Tell me exactly what you want me to capture for you.

    @llkforms,

    Email sent.

    Oops! Sorry, I’m a newbie at this. Thanks for removing my email, will use the contact page in future.

    For the future benefit of others who might have this issue it was caused by a page having been selected in Subscribe2->Settings under the Appearance tab for the Subscribe2 plugin to use that was subsequently deleted.

    This setting was therefore pointing at a page that non longer existed hence the 404 – page not found error. To fix simply choose a page in the dropdown and click submit.
