New registered users get an email with a link to activate their account.
Yet, clicking that link gives this error:

Failed security check, expired Activation Link due to duplication or date.

I’ve tried it with several new registrations with different names, email addresses and passwords, and clicked the activation link directly after having received the email. All gave that same error.
How can this be corrected?

I have just tested and it works perfectly.

How is the link you are using.

The one generated from this plugin is like this: http://yoursite.com/register-clean-login/?activate=USER_ID&security=NONCE

Clicking the link in the email gives this link:

https://exoten-forum.de/site/registrieren-c/?activate=14&security=a8d38a2b3e

which leads to the error.

I have just tried and this link works.

Where is the problem?

Hmm.. at my pc it gives that error in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Will try it on another computer and come back here.

This seems to be a cache problem, so do not cache this page.

Thanks.
Using the pc of my wife and my tablet the link works fine, as you said.
I most likely seems a security problem at my work pc. I’ve secured it with several tools and have to check out which one of those tools causes the problem.
Anyway, thanks for helping me out, the rest is a local problem. 🙂
