Email and phone number deleted when posting by email

  • My WordPress site is http://wp.hjcs.org/

    I use Jetpack to post by email. One email contains a phone number and an email address:

    For more information, please call the office at 216-555-1212 or e-mail booksale@mailinator.com

    But in the blog post that has been changed to:

    For more information, please call the office at booksale

    I know that WordPress attempts to obfuscate email addresses to keep them from being harvested by spammers. I don’t know whether that is what is happening here or not.

    Is there some special way to format the email address and the phone number so that they will show up in the post?

    @tmoorewp

    We currently remove all mailto links and empty HTML link items (ex. <a>, which is what a telephone number gets converted into).

    I’m looking into the issue to see what can be changed/modified to make this a better experience.

    Thanks for the bug report.
