    Hi,

First of all thank you for making the plug in!

I’m trying to create a page that users have to log in for so that users can download restricted content that I will put on the page. I’ve added a log in form as a widget and re-stricted the page which is working fine. The way we are setting up the page is that I will add all the users rather than having a registration page as it’s only for a select few users.

However, I went to add a user so that I could test it, and when I tried to add a user using an old email address of mine it says “Sorry, that email address is already used!” and won’t let me create it.

It’s a new install of WordPress multisite, with only 2 other plugins which I’ve disabled and checked – and I hadn’t used that email on this site (the only user is the admin on the site which I used a different email for.)

Please can you advise me what I could be doing wrong? Would it be a database issue?

    Many thanks in advance
    Rae

Hi, that e-mail is used somewhere in your site. Please check to make sure it is not used anywhere in your site.

Check the WP users menu of your site. Search for that email address and you will see an entry there. Delete that record (make sure it is not an important user account like admin or something) then you will be able to create a new account using that email address.
