EM caused widget to "break"

    hi,

    Is that mean that your current theme also has event features included? if yes, could it be a conflict and both uses ‘event’ custom post type name?

    Yes, my theme does in fact include event features. How should I proceed so that EM doesn’t conflict with it?

    You would need to do one of the following;
    – modify your theme to remove the event features (not recommended)
    – use a child theme to “unset” the features (presumably a custom post type)
    – contact the theme developer for assistance

    The first two require some development experience.
