elementor search results template not displaying

Hi there,

I’m having an issue on our site. It used to work ok but recently the search results template is showing a non elementor layout (some kind of default theme styling). I have a custom elementor template setup for search results with the correct ‘display conditions’ setup.

Any idea whats wrong?

Hi,

I just checked that page and for me it looks good. Also I navigate to ?s=willo&post_type=product – which is a default woocommerce product search results page and it looks similar. That is the correct behavior. If you still have any issues with this page – please show me some screenshots of how it is looking for you.

thanks for your reply, however what you are seeing is not how I have set it up in Elementor > Theme Builder > Search Results. See screenshot here of how it should look (no results shown in the preview, but you can see page style is very different, green background, different title etc)

Well if page ?s=willo&post_type=product does not like your template – that most likely you set that conditions incorrectly. Page ?s=willo&post_type=product is not related to AWS plugin in any way, it is just the default WooCommerce search results page. So if it is showing an incorrect template – that the problem is not in the search plugin.

You can check this article to learn how to properly set page templates for products search results. Perhaps this would help.

Fixed by adding following custom code snippet.
```
add_filter( 'aws_searchbox_markup', function( $markup ) {
    $markup = str_replace( '<input type="hidden" name="post_type" value="product">', '', $markup );
    return $markup;
} );
```
