Support » Fixing WordPress » Elementor Page Builder content is being duplicated under the footer???

  • Hi all,

I just wasted more than half of an entire working day trying to troubleshoot this issue. I cannot for the life of me fix it or find a workaround.

I have to build a homepage with Elementor, but I HAVE to keep its original header. As soon as I change the template to any other one than the ‘default page template’ this header and the text block within it (which is what it’s all about) will disappear. That header text block is a unique function to this theme and it’s of vital importance for the final website.

This theme, Hestia, says it supports Elementor. However, as soon as I try to put content into the page’s body, under the header image and above the footer, it will be duplicated on the live site – UNDER the footer. It’s there in the body, but it’s there a second time under the footer. In the Elementor editor the duplicate content can’t be seen, but it will be there on the real site nonetheless.

I have tried a vast array of solutions, attempted to create different page templates hoping I could keep this original header in another one (which never worked) and injecting a custom footer with a plugin that lets you insert your own footer code. However, that one was placed above the Elementor content as well…

I am lost here and I’m just hoping anyone here could give me some advice. You can see what I mean at http://www.stichtingcaldarium.nl/

    Very much appreciated…

    Best regards,
