Elementor Malware detected

    I’m not sure if its an isolated issue with just me, but I’ve tried to install elementor on my local wordpress but it won’t allow me because my virus/malware scanner detected it as a malware. I had no issue installing other plugins.

    I can assure you this is not an Elementor issue. It has been used by over 60K users for over 9 months without any such occurrence.

    This might be a separate file on your computer that has copied itself onto that directory. My advice is to first clean your computer and then install Elementor again through the WordPress Repository plugin search.
