• I see one link address box in the Image Carousel content area. Is it possible to have each image go to a different URL?
    Thank you for any suggestions.

  • Hi Les,

I do not have an answer to that one.
Is this on the dj site?

Yes, the carousel is on the DJ site but when you go to settings it only has a general Link field. Seems all pictures link to the same page. Most any sliders I have used in the past allow each image to have their own URL link to a specific page.

Hmm, no I do not see an option to give every single image in that carousel a different link….

you can use media carousel in Elementor pro

Aha, this is possible but only with the carousel available in Elementor Pro:

You can see the pro carousel in action in my test site:

You can easely add a url to each image.

Thank you both for mentioning the Pro version, but there are so many free plugins for WordPress that already have this feature. I am really surprised there isn’t an alternative.
I have to wonder if I used a WP plugin in the WP Edit mode, would this work? I will probably try. or just create a gallery of pictures with separate links as opposed to a slideshow.
Just a note, WordPress has become so popular because of it’s massive flexibility and also because WordPress is free. So many of the plugins are also free. Seems there is a trend to stop this and start charging for features. I understand people want to make money but it seems contrary to the WordPress concept.

If you use a free slider that has this option, it will probably be one where you have to create the slider first in its slider settings ( not in the page edit ) and after the slide is done, it will give you short code to insert in a page to actually show the slider. That way you can insert the shortcode and use it in Elementor.

    As of your note.
Wordpress is still free and open source.

There are thousands of free plugins too as we speak.
Elementor is one of them and offers so much for free.

I totally get they want to be paid too for all that hard work.
They still offer a lot for free for the low budget users, and that is actually more then enough to still build stunning sites.

Lot of us use it to build sites with it for paying customers, why should they not get paid too right?

LOL, The shortcode solution is what I just did, we are thinking alike.
    It works fine.
I added the shortcode in the text window in WP Edit. Is there another way you would do it with Elementor? Is there a shortcode option to drag into a column?

As to your getting paid comment. LOL, I have worked with habitat for Humanity for so long, I tend to go the free direction when ever possible. 🙂

    Thank you again

LL, Thanks for the push in the better direction. I found the ShortCode option and used that instead. Much easier and probably more reliable.

    I’m getting there.
    Les

    Great!
