    Hello,

I am not a web designer, I am an just an illustrator, but with a number of self-taught years of running my own WordPress site. Elementor has been great, up until todays update. All of a sudden, I try to edit any pages and it just stays stuck on the loading screen.

I have tried turning off ALL plugins – did not fix the issue

I have tried running it on the twenty sixteen theme with all other plugins off – did not fix the issue

I have updated the MEMORY LIMIT to 256MB – did not fix the issue.

Currently running my test site with the ASTRA theme. Theme, Elementor Plugin, and WordPress are all at current versions.

Here is the debug message from my system info:

You will notice I am getting TWO debug errors, however these seem to be above my skill level and I am not sure what they are telling me.

I am hoping there is a bug in the newest update, and there will be a revised update in the next day or so…. but just in case not….ANY HELP PLEASE? Thank you in advance.

Same problem! Elementor load screen freezes. I also have Beaver Builder (all plugins are current versions).
If I uninstall either of the plugins, pages revert to a history many months in the past (no revisions noted). The only way to get current version is by reinstalling plugins and choosing the most recent historical version. This is very frustrating. PLEASE post resolution quickly. Thanks.

    Same here too!
Rolling back to 1.9.8 did not even help.
Other identical installations on my server are running fine with Elementor…
    Strange issue.
Any one with an idea ?

I had same problem using Elementor Pro v2.01 and latest version of Astra Pro.

It turned out to be the Elementor Carousel widget causing the problem.
With Astra Layouts I had inserted the carousel on every page.
Although it worked before. So I don’t no yet why Elementor is not loading now when having the carousel widget on the page.

I’ve rolled back the Elementor to older version but that didn’t solve the problem.

I’ve tested some more. When I insert a carousel widget on the page, there is no problem. But when the carousel is inserted with Astra Layouts, Elementor won’t load.
When I insert an Astra Layout with a text widget, Elementor loads.

So, with my site, it seems to be a problem with the combination of Astra Layout and the Image carousel of Elementor.

    It has worked before though.

I’ve made the same Astra Layout with the Carousel widget again and inserted this new one on the pages. Now Elementor is loading again.
Although I have no idea why the former exact same Astra Layout suddenly made Elementor stop loading…

I’m completely stuck. Just trying to update a client’s website, some pages freeze and some seem not have any issue.

I’m using elementor Pro and Ocean theme.

No idea of how to solve the frozen loading icon!!!

Hey guys, just started with Elementor and having the same problem as the original post. The latest version I can find is 2.0.12

@peteraloha i’m experiencing exactly the same.
I’ve checked (and contacted support from them) if this could be a problem caused by “Elementos essential add-ons plug in”.

    And definitively it is not.

I wonder if all who have the same issue have the same operative system and use the same browser. There must be something in common to us that is causing elementor to crash.

I use a Mac Book 15” with Mac OS Sierra version 10.12.6 with Chrome Browser

The elementor Team has been answering all my questions and tried to solve this but without any success. Also the WP Developer team has helped me a lot. They even entered in my WordPress panel and could edit without any problem what I’m unable to edit.

So, the hosting company has nothing to do.

The elementor team says everything is all reight

    The plugins are OK

But, there are many JS errors…

I’m using the WP-Ocean theme, the Elementor Plug-in the Elementor essential Add-ons plug-in and the WP Multilanguage Plugin.

I can edit any page created with elementor. But not if there are pieces of content created with the essential add Ons and are translations of the default language.

So maybe this is an incompatibility between Elementor essential Add-ons and WPML.

Do you have the same issues?

Do you have the same issues?

I started experiencing the issue of Elementor not working for new pages.

To get around the issue I downloaded a duplicate page plugin and now when I want to make a new page I duplicate one of the pages that does work with Elementor.

Not ideal, but it might help somebody who desperately needs to add a new page πŸ™‚

    Fixed for me:
I noticed the reference to TinyMCE in the Elementor debug section
IE. ‘ReferenceError: tinymce is not defined’ to be common among those facing this error.

I also noticed the tinymce editor did not show up when trying to edit pages the old fashioned way using WP. I took this to mean that it is a problem of the built in WP editor not loading.

I did some looking and came across a thread recommending:
Try adding define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false); to your wp-config.php file just below the define(‘DB_HOST’ line.

Problem solved. Both tinyMCE and Elementor editor load just fine now.

I had the same issue. Today I solved it by going ” dashboard – settings – general ”
    there are two fields:
WordPress Address (URL) and Site Sddress (URL)

These two fields should be in IP address, instead of domain names.

    Hope that helps.

are these settings different in a multisite installation?

I have typically resolved *all* elementor loading issues by adding this to the .htaccess file:

    LimitRequestBody 99999999999
    SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M

(was given by my host, Siteground, could differ depending on server type? )
