    Hello,

    After the latest Elementor update, a banner appears at the top of the dashboard:
    Elementor Data Updater
    Database update process is running in the background. Taking a while?
    Click here to run it now.
    I read that pressing “Click here…” can cause a fatal error, so I’d prefer not to do that.
    Any other proven solutions to this persistent error over many versions?

    Thanks.

    An update. I reverted Elementor to v 3.3.0 and the Data Updater notification disappeared. When I reapplied the 3.3.1 update, the Data Updater notification reappeared, so reverting versions and re-applying did not work.
    Any help from Elementor support would be appreciated.

    Some more info from the Elementor log. It appears the updater process completed for the update from 3.2.5 to 3.3.0 but then was queued again 2 seconds later but hasn’t completed. I rolled back to version 3.2.5 and then updated again to 3.3.1 but still no success. The entry from 2021-07-13 11:17:40 where the updater is queued is the last entry in the log. Any suggestion would be appreciated.:

    FWIW, I took a leap of faith and ran the updater. Since Elementor was updated beyond the version when this issue happened, I assumed it was fairly safe. The updater ran successfully as indicated in the log below:

    )]

    I have the same problem. When I update Elementor Pro from V.3.2.2 to V.3.3.0, the message “Database update process is running in the background. Will it take a while?” Appears. This does not go away. Here is my log:

    Same here.

    How come this is marked as ‘solved’ ?

    Hi @robinleysen
    Because the subject of this thread, my first post, was resolved in post 3. I flagged as solved for the benefit of anyone in the same situation with current version 3.3.1.
    The post after mine refers to version 3.3.0 and perhaps deserves it’s own thread.
    This does appear to be a reoccurring issue through many versions.
