Hi, can you tell me if this plugin can hide/rewrite the image urls which are set as image background by Elementor in the generated css files? In my case it seems that it doesn’t hide them…all image background urls appear as …/wp-content/uploads/2022/… etc in all css files generated by elementor inside wp-content/uploads/elementor/css/post-xx.css.

Can somebody confirm if that’s normal with WPHSE?

    Hi,
Yes the WP Hide should change those assets URL to what is specified through the plugin settings. You just have to clear/regenerate the Elementor styles.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I made a couple of tests and noticed that when in Elementor the CSS Print Method is set to “internal Embedding” then WPHSE changes the paths but when it is set to “External file” then WPHSE doesn’t change the paths of the images and and leaves them as wp-content/uploads/… etc.

Have you tried with CSS Print Method = External File?

    Hi,
I see what you mean, the Elementor is missing a filter for the CSS content (cache) which our code could use to update the URLs. This has been reported to their support for years now, still, a filter has never been implemented.
I’ll try to reach the Elementor developers to see their status regarding this.
Meanwhile, you should keep the CSS Print Method to Internal Embedding.

    Thanks
