OceanWP is such a lovely theme and yet professional. Personal favourite.

There is one problem and I cannot pin the cause down so I’d need your help. I’m building content using Elementor, they pointed me to OceanWP in the first place, and their entrance animantions work flawlessly on desktop with your theme, but when the page is used on a mobile phone it starts “dancing” when scrolling and objects’ entrance animations kick in. Once the animations finish page is scrolling as normal.

Mobile phone is Android, browser is Chrome. In Firefox the page doesn’t “dance”, it just scrolls irregular.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello, thank you for using OceanWP πŸ™‚
Do you have the same problem with another theme?
If so, you should contact the Elementor support team.

    Hello πŸ™‚

Forgot to mention, that problem only happens with OceanWP. I’ve tried about 6 different themes.

Hi, sorry, I really don’t see the issue, I tried on my smartphone, android and chrome, the animations work as they should, nothing weird happen.
I can contact Elementor to ask them if they see any issue with the animation on your site if you want.

Well, I’d be happy if it was just me.

Thanks a lot for this video, I will share it with the Elementor support team.
I will get back to you.
Thanks for pointing me this issue πŸ™‚

Hello, the Elementor support answered me and like me, he see no problem, but he told me that it could be due to an optimization plugin, so disable all your plugins except Elementor and see if this solves your problem, if that’s the case, reactivate your plugins one by one to find the one that causes this issue.

If you find that the problem comes from an optimization or minification plugin, try to see in the settings of this plugin if there is a field related to the JS, if yes, disable it and tell me if it solves the issue.

I had WP-Optimize activated, and yes, I have deactivated it – but still no luck πŸ™

Other plugins that are activate should not cause that problem. Here’s the list:
    – Chrome on Android Meta Theme
    – Disable Comments
    – Elementor
    – Google Analytics Dashboard for WP
    – Loco Translate
    – Maintenance
    – Ocean Extra
    – WC Direct Place Order Without Payment
    – WooComerce
    – Yoast SEO

Try to disable them all except Elementor and see if it solve the issue.
And as I said, I and the Elementor team doesn’t see the issue on android and chrome.

Same thing, unfortunately, happens with all plugins disabled. Something’s wrong my phone maybe? πŸ˜€

    Theme Author oceanwp

    (@oceanwp)

It is possible, otherwise I or the elementor team would have had the same problem.
If you can try on another phone to be sure if the issue comes from your phone.

    Thread Starter extensis

    (@extensis)

That would be the best thing for both you and Elementor. It seems the other phone is much more tolerant to entrance animations. “Unpredicted behaviour” occurs, but it is negligible.

I will try other phones too and will reply if any of them behave the same.

Thank you so much for support. You’ve been kind.

    You are most welcome πŸ™‚

I could not check your video, since I’m on a resticted company network right now, but mobile browsers are known to have limited support for certain features. One of the most annoying one, is missing support for fixed elements. Mobile browsers sometimes try to emulate this feature, which results in ‘jumpy’ content when scrolling.

Also, CSS animations may cause problems on older mobile browsers. So if I were you, I’d check the Android device closely to make sure, it is running a recent browser version.

@actronab everything is the most recent version, thank you.

I am confused because this is only happening with OceanWP.
