The 3.12 version of your plugin completely wiped out my website with a critcal error after I updated it with to use it on WP 6.2. ‘Your Site is Experiencing a Technical Issue’ and the email below was sent to me.

    Howdy!

WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Elementor.

    Active theme: Lodestar (version 1.0.8)

Current plugin: Elementor (version 3.12.0) PHP version 8.0.23

Because of this, I have deactivated and deleted your plugin until you assure me you have rectified it. This put me through some considerable inconvenience.

    I needed to post this.

  • Hi,

Please deactivate all your plugins besides Elementor and see if it helps. If it solves the issue, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit. If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) and see if it makes any difference.

    Hi there,

My site is now on 6.2, but I don’t have your plugin installed. I am very suspicious of trying to install the current edition in encase it floors my site again with a technical error.

When I installed your plugin before but after I had updated to 6.2, I couldn’t deactivate and plugins in the dashboard as I couldn’t get back into the dashboard at all; even the recovery mode was useless. I had to reinstall WordPress 6.2 from scratch and import a backup copy from the the all-in-one folder once I had installed the support plugins.

I will install the Elementor again later in the week but the penultimate version.

I went into the server folder and renamed the plugin folder plugin.deactivate to see if that would allow me to log in, but it didn’t even allow recovery mode to operate. No mention of which plugin caused the problem.

That is why I sent you the details from the error email the wordpress sent me with all the details about the error and the areas it affected.

    Hi,

It’s possible that the update caused a conflict with another plugin or theme, or there may have been a problem with the update process itself. To troubleshoot the issue, I would recommend roll back Elementor plugin to the previous version and see if the error message disappears – https://elementor.com/help/rolling-back-to-a-previous-version-of-elementor/

If it does, then you can try re-enabling Elementor and disabling other plugins one by one to isolate the conflicting plugin.

If they need help from us, they can open an issue on our Github account and our developers will be happy to assist. https://github.com/elementor/elementor/issues

Additionally, you may want to check the compatibility of the Elementor plugin with your WordPress version and theme. It’s always a good idea to create a backup of your website before making any major updates or changes
