Element 11 inserts unwanted empty tags causing layout havoc

Here is an image showing everything. The post on the left does not line up with the content on the right because of the fact that there is an empty set of paragraph tags that get inserted into the page when using element 11. Element 13 does not have this issue.
Help please?
