• I am new to WordPress but have spent the last week earnestly trying to setup my own website. Sucessfully.

    However, it is difficult to learn and setup when you have to reference the main wordpress.org site for help on plugins, backups, security, etc because of one easy to change feature.

    In each wordpress blog dashboard there is a terrific news update and links to wordpress. In the plugins section each plugin has a terrific link to the wordpress site for that plugin.

    However, each link posts to the same page. Thus, if I use my dashboard to enter the wordpress site, I no longer have my website up. Then I have to read, memorize, use the back arrow, try out what I need, make a mistake, find it again on WordPress, backup and make another attempt.

    It would seem so much more efficient if each of the tags in the WordPress administration area included the tag

    target=_blank

    This would allow me to easily switch back and forth between tutorial or help page and my site to make the changes and move forward.

    This is a simple request, but would have extremely beneficial ramifications.

    Let me know what you think.

    David.
