Effect settings next gen gallery

Hi,

I’m using nextgen gallery in combination with nextgen gallery colorboxer. When in want to set the effect in the nextgen gallery options menu to lightbox, it returns after I refresh the page to custom. This keeps happening the same effect occurs from either other effect then custom it constantly returns automatically to custom. how could I resolve this?
