• I have a disfunctional editor, the visual tab won’t work. I looked it up and there were more people having this problem, but usually they could click the visual tab at least, I can’t click it at all.

    When happens:
-Rollover shows the visual link red, clicking it doesn’t do anything.

What I tried to do to fix it:
    -Disabled theme/plugins
-Replaced wp-admin and wp-includes folders with new ones straight out of the wordpress package.
    -Roamed google for ages
-Install a different editor; Worked for the main editor, but not for my meta boxes.

    What might have caused this:
-Installing tinymce, even though I didn’t overwriting or replacing a single thing.

This is really bugging me and I can’t seem to figure out what is going wrong here. Alternatives aren’t really an option for me because this needs to work in my meta boxes.

  • I’m having the same issues.

Are you using the BulletProof Security Plugin?

I had the same issue and it’s caused by my .htaccess file not allowing the server to find the new JQuery file.

I’m using the BulletProof Security plugin, and even though I disabled the plugin, it leaves the .htaccess file full of “Bulletproofing”. When I changed the .htaccess file back to “Default Mode” and activated it, the JQuery error disappeared and the admin screen worked.

Are you able to open/close the Help or Screen Options tabs in the upper right of the Dashboard? What about adding or re-arranging widgets in Appearance > Widgets?

Same thing happening to me. Exactly as Drew Jaynes Described.
