• Hey there,

I’m using wordpress for about a week now since a year or 2 and I’m glad I tried it again. I did bounce up against a problem today though.

I try to maintain a small gaming website, which needs authors and editors. Next to that it’s crucial that they’re able to upload a featured image, as those are shown on the front page to make the post or article seen.

But authors or editors seem to be unable to set a featured image. Uploading goes fine (the image gets saved in the media gallery), clicking the “set as featured image” goes fine and then the “featured image”-box (or whatever) says -1 in stead of the upload. I already tried the “User role editor” – plugin, but it was no use. Only admins seem to be able to set featured images.

How do I make it possible for my editors and authors to set a featured image?! This is quite urgent and I thank everyone in advance for a possible solution.
