Editors cannot login

    The only way users can login to my WordPress site is if I make them Administrators. If they are setup as Editors, Authors or Contributors they get a long pause at the login screen and are directed to the front page of the blog.

    Any tips on what to look for so I can fix this?

    Since that is not the default action of wordpress, there may be a plugin altering the process?

    Are you running a members or login redirect plugins?

    Also, check your functions.php file: look for something like add_filter(‘login_redirect’,….

    I am not running any plugins that are supposed to do anything with users or the login page. I will dig a little deeper though. Thanks for the tip.

    Figured it out, and you were right. The plugin “under construction” was causing the problem. Deactivated it and everything is working.
