    Hi Asgaros,

Ok, this is freaky! This shouldn’t be normal for regular user?!

As I’m the admin able to edit the (“QUOTE) in the EDITOR BOX when reply is understandable from the front-end.

However, I logged-in as a test-user, I am able to delete, edit, etc from the EDITOR (“QUOTE) just like an admin when I reply it? Regular-users should ONLY to reply… That shouldn’t be right? Otherwise, everyone can/will able to EDIT people previous comments then?

    Please advise help,
    Thanks

    Hello @love2playgames

Users should only be able to edit their own posts.

Please check if your “normal” user is really a subscriber or not. Also ensure that you did not assign the forum moderator/administrator role to him.

Also ensure that chaching is disabled for the forum-page.

If this issue still appears, then its caused by another plugin (some user access managers for example).

    Hello @love2playgames

Maybe I got your wrong: You mean that users can edit the text which is used as a quote? Yes this is true because the quote-function just copies a post-text inside the editor. Users can edit it to shorten the text if they want to quote only a specific sentence instead of the complete post.

    Hi asgaros,

Yes, the “QUOTE, let’s say if I wrote something, people reply to the Quote. nobody don’t want other people to change what he/she wrote…

Well, I did CSS to hide it, it works good.. BUT, it also hidden from the normal message section too!!!

Is any function to block just the quote ONLY where in the write EDITOR?

    Please advise,

    Hello @love2playgames

Unfortunately there is currently no way for this. Changing the quote-text inside your response of course does not change the original text. So it should be easy to figure out whats fake and what not.

Also preventing quote-editing in the editor makes it impossible for users to quote only a short part of a long post which can be neccessary if you want to answer to a specific sentence only.

    Hi Asgaros,

Bummer! I figure that’s impossible already. I could live with it, but if that ever get to that, it will be great!

I now can go on other settings,

    Thanks for your help,
