# Editor Role Question

 * Looking at the Roles and Capabilities, I see that the Editor role has permission
   to edit-others-posts. But in my blog I have 3 users in the editor role and they
   can’t edit each others posts. Is this the correct behaviour?
 * If so, how can I expand the editors role so that they can edit other editors 
   posts?

 * If the individual settings are set to not edit other’s posts, then they can’t.
   If you want them to be able to, increase their responsibilities.
 * Have you checked out the [Role Manager WordPress Plugin](http://www.im-web-gefunden.de/wordpress-plugins/role-manager/)
   for more control over the roles, responsibilitys, and permissions?

 * Thanks, but that’s not much help. The only level above editor is admin, and I’m
   not handing that out to people.
 * I need to make it so editors can edit each others posts *without* elevating them
   to Admin.
 * How can I alter the Capabilities of an existing role?
