# Editor – Generic

 * I have scoured the forums here and I cannot find a solution to my problem.
 * 1. I DO NOT have ANY plugins installed. Not one.
 * 2. When I goto edit a page or post the editor is generic with no buttons as though
   its in text mode on the old WordPress.
 * 3. I installed TinyMCE Advanced as a test. It will not appear either when enabled.
 * Conclusion, we are stuck with a broken editor and no plugins to disable. What
   should we do now?
 * Here is a screen shot of what we see.
