• When I upgraded to wordpress 6.1.1 I started having a problem with the editors for add-in a new page or post. I look under the “tools” link to find out that my “Rest.api” is having a problem. The error message reads
The REST API did not process the context query parameter correctly.

How can I fix this ?

  • Hi @blknyte,

You can try installing the Health Check plugin and enabling the Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins and switch to a standard WordPress theme without affecting your site visitors. You can then check if you are still seeing the REST API error.

If the error is gone and you are able to add/edit pages/posts, one of your plugins/theme may be causing the issue. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your plugins one by one, testing after each reactivation until you find the one causing the issue.

If the problem persists despite that, go to permalinks under Settings, click on save and try adding a new page/post. Do you still see the error message?
