Support » Plugin: WP Review » Editor does let me write spaces nor keeps me select text

  • Hi:

I updated to WP5 and got an error (scroll at the end).

    Editor behavior: (editing block element)
Editor does let me write spaces nor keeps me select text, do a backspace to delete character, text is always added in the start. Weird behaviors. I can’t work.

When I deactivate the plugin and block elements are working propely. but i need the plugin. all my reviews are in the plugin.

When Inspected the element in chrome debugger tools, I added a breakpoint (“break on” -> “attribute notifications”) to the block element (paragraph with contentediatable=”true”) and it seems to keeps refreshing. Breakpoint on attribute changed.

The breakpoint landed on the “save” function in tinymce path: //4.8.0 (2018-06-27)
    /wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php?ver=4800-20180716

    How to handle this?
    Please help

    Hi:

Thanks for the fast response and fix!!!

It seems to be resolved on regular elements but not on classic elements that was previously there’ meaning that by adding new classic block element it will work but on classic old element it will act weird again.

    Thanks again

    Hello @wppatriot,

Glad to know that, about the classic block issue, can you please share the screen recording?

    Thank you.

    Hi:

    I can recreate the situation:

Create a classic block add some text with table and a list and a paragraph and save the document. after saving exit the entire admin meaning close the tab.

Then reenter the tab and start writing to it.

Hit backspace somewhere in the text and see the cursor jumps to the start.

Select some text with the mouse and try to change it by hitting a new letter and it jumps the the start.

    Shift+Enter does not work.
