Hi!
Can you give me precise steps to reproduce this, maybe with screenshots? You can upload the screenshots to your site’s media library or to an image hosting service, and then include the links in your reply.
Thanks!
Hi Richard,
Sure.
1. Create new Job Listing as an Editor.
2. Fill out all details, including job type.
3. Select Publish.
Upon publishing, it either clears the job type completely, or sets it as Part Time. For now, it seems to just be clearing it completely and it shows as blank on the published listing. When trying to re-select a job type and updating, it makes no difference.
I could provide you with screenshots but they probably wouldn’t be very useful as there’s not really anything to see as it just removes the selected job type.
Many thanks,
Jamie
Joining Jamie’s question !
I have the same issue at https://www.my-face.co.il/
I guess it might be related to the WP version as both Jamie and I have the latest 5.2.2 that’s been released yesterday.
Thanks
p.s. I tried disabling all plugins… +this happened to me on 2 different servers.
@lu-flux Actually, the screenshots would have been useful, because I would have know from where the job listings are being created.
So, can you answer that? Are they being created from wp-admin, or from the front-end of the site?
It’s wp-admin for me 😉 (I’m administrator on that site)

Thanks
Mine are also being created from wp-admin. Works fine as an administrator – issues only occur when it’s the editor making changes.
Hi!
So as an Editor on my test site, I’m not even able to access the Job Listings at all in wp-admin at wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=job_listing, I get a permissions error. Have either of you modified the Editor role to allow access? Are you sure that the users in question have the stock Editor role that comes with WordPress?
Ah – that’s a good call which I hadn’t thought about. Yes, I used User Role Editor in order to tweak the permissions. Could it be a permissions issue then?
Update: I’ve just had a look and found some extra permissions for plugin tucked away under “Custom capabilities” rather than nested under the “Jobs” section.
Have checked a few boxes and mine is now all working fine.
Thanks for your help!
Great, @lu-flux ! Glad you found the solution! I’ll mark this thread as Resolved, then.
@dogbeds if you still have this problem, can you open a new thread, please? Thanks,
