 * im trying to change the way i see a post that i’m editing. ive been playing with
   various tick boxes in the options, but regardless of what i choose, i’m still
   seeing the images and formatting rather than the basic code which i prefer, and
   which i used prior to updating to the latest version of WP.
 * When ‘Users should use the visual rich editor by default’ is ticked and unticked,
   I see the edit screen of a post in exactly the same manner.
 * I’d appreciate any suggestions as to a resolution to my problem.
 * Thank you.

 * There’s another option under Users->Your Profile that will turn off the visual
   editor for you. The checkbox you ticked sets the visual editor as default for*
   new* users. Not well worded but that’s what it does.
