Editing wordpress html

    Hello,

    I would like to add php based shopping cart software to my wordpress site which requires me to add a small bit of code before the <HTML> tag on my wordpress pages. Is there anyway to edit the wordpress html? I am hosting my blog on my own hosting acount. Thank you.
