  • Looking at using the theme Atahualpa. I have this setup locally using xammplite.

I’m wanting to make some modifications. Actually, just have a two column layout with links on the left. I plan to have navigation at the top and left sidebar.

Is there a single file or place where I can simply turn off the content of the left sidebar and move what is in the right sidebar from the right to the left?

  • I’m using it now. Using the options page, it is possible to set one of the sidebars to zero width, which makes it disappear.

You then have a two column theme.

It seems to then be a manual editing job to remove the “recent post” and “recent comments” widgets. I’m about to go and look at posts on that topic here.

You would then install your own links and widgets in the sidebar, as per usual.

Yes. Manual editing, but seems very straightforward. There’s an explanation in the comments section at the theme’s page at http://wordpress.bytesforall.com/?p=51

I simply took off all the check marks for pages on which to show the sidebar I didn’t want.

What sargemarcori (thanks) described is available since the 3.x series of Atahualpa: There are check boxes to turn on/off left and/or right sidebar on a page type basis (Home, Single, Page…) and even based on single pages ID’s.

Hey, in using this Atahualpa theme template, am I going to have to be inordinately adept at using CSS and PHP, or can just I squeak by simply using HTML?? I’m looking to be able to control page element arrangements, placement and arrangement of header and other images, creating linked images, and change colours and font sizes/colours/types.

Any and all info would be *HEE-YUGELY* appreciated!! ^_^

Oh, when I say changing colours, I mean of anything and everything as needs be… page elements of all types and such. Oh, and adding pages and drop-down menus to tabs.

    THANX!!

    Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible to make the headers individual to each page and not rotating?

    Thank you,

    Lisa
