# Editing Theme

 * Sorry if this question has already been asked a thousand times, I did read through
   the entries here and didn’t see an answer for it…
 * I’m trying to edit my theme, but apparently I’m not authorized to make changes.
   How to I make it so that I am authorized?

 * Apparently, you are not “Administrator” for your account. Go to user section 
   in your WordPress’s admin and double check your role.

 * Also, to edit theme files from the theme editor the file(s) have to chmod 666.
   Be sure and change back to 644 after editing for security.

 * Thanks guys (: I’ll be working on this as soon as my blog gets sorted out…my 
   update to 2.6 didn’t go very well…

 * I double checked and I am the Administrator, apparently i need to see the Codex
   before I start making changes though…so I’ll work with that first. Thanks guys!
