• I’m trying to edit the column widths of my WordPress page. I am using an installed theme called “magicblue”. When I edit the widths of #main, #sidebar, or #wrapper, it doesn’t make any difference in the layout of the blog. Are there any themes with locked widths? How can I increase the width of my main column?
    Thanks a bunch!
    Ben

using a tool such as Firebug http://getfirebug.com/ might help you to get more insight into the formatting of your site.

and make sure to clear the browser cache after changes to the stylesheets – ‘CTRL F5’ or ‘reload’

Columns are often set within a wrapper. One would have to enlarge the wrapper width first.
