    Dear Friends,

I have my website: techchocolate.com and I have been trying to set up the visibility of the posts as Sticky etc and trying to change other attributes like time of pubishing, it does not work. when I click on Stick on/off or click on publishing time, nothing happens.

Also, quick edit is not working, When I click on it, the post just disappears, but is not deleted. It returns on refresh.

Also, I have been getting 500 errors amny times, lately.

Any suggestions? Can I perform a reset or equivalent, while maintaining my posts and pages?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

the resetting the plugins folder and reuploading the wp-admin and wp-includes seems like a good idea. Can you tell me how do I get a fresh copy of those files? Are they specific for each site? I have a different site. Can I use wp admini and wpincludes of that site?

    Thanks

I tried wordpress reset but it somehow did not display the posts althought the plugin claims it does not delete them. Luckily, I had an export file which I then imported to solve the problem.

how do I get a fresh copy of those files?

    From http://wordpress.org/download/

Are they specific for each site?

No – they contain generic WordPress core files.
