  • Hi folks, newbie here.

    I’ve recently moved my blog over to and I chose Arjuna as my new theme.

    I successully changed the gray font color to black on the style.css sheet, but no matter how I try, I cannot change the link colors.

    * Main design

    body {
    background:#d9d9d9 url(./images/pageBG.png) repeat-x 0 0;
    font-family:Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif;

    /* Links */

    a, a:visited {
    a:hover {

    File permissions are ok, because I can check the uploaded file on Filezilla and any modifications I made were saved. The example above is the original style.css listing.

    Any ideas fellas?

  • Your <a> links are being styled from the a.css file, is the above from that stylesheet or the style.css one?

    Thanks for the quick response.

    The example is from the style.css.

    The only other css files are these:

    Within the style.css, the only other reference to links is just above the main design….

    .more-link:hover {

    * Main design

    body {

    Had a look in admin.css, don’t see any reference to links.

    It appears the a.css style sheet causing the issues is being called by one of your plugins. Here is the reference as found in your site’s page source:

    I removed the matrix gallery a.css file and was able to edit the link colors.

    Thank you very much for your assistance, I really do appreciate your help.

    Just as a matter of interest, I know you probably looked at the source page of my front page, but how did you manage to get the a.css listing? Are my files easily accessible?

    Thanks again

    I typically use Firebug (a Firefox add-on) to review the CSS of a web site, similar tools are available for other browsers.

    Also, more often than not, using the ‘right-click | view source’ method you can see the HTML code of a web page … and where I was able to provide the link I posted above to the a.css file.
