 * Hello,
 * I just finished creating my own theme, during which time I had manually edited
   and customized the sidebar.php file in the theme folder.
 * After installing and adding widgets through the admin interface, it seems to
   now be accessing a different file for the sidebar code as the changes to the
   sidebar were not made in sidebar.php and any changes I make to this file do not
   affect sidebar.php
 * does anyone know if there is a different file being accessed which I can edit?
 * Ultimately I want to manually add some code to the sidebar.
 * Thanks in advance to any help!

 * you’ll need to register the sidebar in functions.php. Read the doc [http://automattic.com/code/widgets/themes/](http://automattic.com/code/widgets/themes/)
