# editing 'read more'

 * when i insert a read more tag into my blog it opens a new page, shows full text
   but automatcially scrolls to comments section – theres a number after the more
   link as oyu can see
 * anyone know how i can get rid so it just links to the top of the article on a
   new page?

 * thanks so much, but on my god, ive added the code to the themes-function and 
   there was a syntax error now i cant get back in!

 * never mind i managed to get it back by editing file on the server
 * but where abouts on the page should the read more code go please?

 * probably the safest location to add the code into functions.php is right at the
   end, in its own line before the last `?>`
