Editing "Powered by WordPress and Designed By" line
-
On our newest blog, http://thewoodlandseats.com, in the left sidebar there is a line that reads, “Powered by WordPress and Designed By Oobor.
health directory / Ice Cream Maker” – we need to edit this line as it contains a broken link (which is also an irrelevant link). We have spent hours searching all of the theme files and cannot find the code for this line in any of them. It is not in the function.php file. It is also not in the footer.php – presumably because it’s not in the footer at all. We thought of contacting the theme creator, Oobor, of course, but their site has no contact information (in fact, they don’t even use one of their own themes for their website). Any help we can get in modifying this line of code would be appreciated.

did you look in
sidebar.php
?Yes, we’ve combed over every inch of every .php document.
Here is a link where the theme can be downloaded, if anyone else would like to take a crack at finding the line(s) of code… http://thewordpresstheme.com/free-theme/the-best-recipes.xhtml
Are there any lines calling base64() in them?
Look in sidebar1.php – it’s just a load of base64 nonsense.

It would be better to use a decent theme that wasn’t thrown together using a theme generating app like this appears to have been.
We found base64 several times, but never with () next to it. We’ve tried the search both through the Editor and with Dreamweaver.
@cubecolour – thank you! problem solved. And you’re right, of course, about the theme, but it’s testing well with our audience.
twevents (and the next guy who comes along) – base64(<lots of stuff here>) is what you’re looking for.
Basically ANYTHING that starts
base64(
is suspect. You’ll want to use cubecolor’s link to decrypt it. Using that in a theme is bad form and something that the WordPress repository doesn’t permit due to abuse.
