Editing Posts/Pages - The Hassle of Knowing HTML (1 post)

    Yeah, there's a CODE option when posting new pages, but why is it that the codes need to be truncated? I don't know if this bothers other people out there but it absolutely does for me. For instance, why is the blockquote tag always attached to the line preceding and after it?

    blah blah blah

    [startBlockquoteTag]
    blah blah blah
    [endBlockquoteTag]

    blah blah blah

    becomes like this the next time you edit

    blah blah blah
    [startBlockquoteTag]
    blah blah blah
    [endBlockquoteTag]
    blah blah blah

    This also goes for other tags such as line-break and when you're using a class for a paragraph. In the end, the page turns out Invalid when checked by the W3C Validator.

    My point here is, since we (users) are given the freedom to "code" our page, then it should remain as what we want it to be! If we need to type the p (paragraph) tag over and over, then we must if that's the case!
