    Hi all,

The short of it, I moved from Blogger to WordPress a few weeks back. Basically, I used Blogger with a custom domain which I’m still using but now with WordPress (self-hosted).

Due to the change in permalink structure (which I like as http://domain.com/postname/) I’m obviously getting errors from Google Webmaster tools.

I have approx. 60-70 posts on my site so editing them to correct broken links is somewhat do-able and I have already started on some posts.

However, when I update the links and save them, it’s pushing an update to my RSS feed and people are re-visiting my old posts thinking they’re new. I don’t mind this if it’s new subscribers viewing older posts but I have some loyal subscribers which have already seen this content and I don’t want them unsubscribing if they’re seeing many posts all in one go in their reader from my site.

I also don’t want to get penalised for ping spamming too.

Is there any way at all I’m able to temporarily disable RSS publishing feed updates on just updating old posts?

Any help appreciated. It’s only temporary until I fix the 404 errors.

    Thanks in advance,
    -Lisa

P.S. Running WordPress 3.4.1 and using Genesis. If you need the site link, it’s here: Sweet 2 Eat Baking
