Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hi there,

    I have the same problem.
    Tried deactivating all plug ins.
    Tried Twenty 14 theme.
    Tried different browser.

    Nothing works.

    Any other ideas?

Ok, try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

Having the same problem, did as MacManX recommended (re-downloaded wordpress, replaced copies of everything except wp-config.php and /wp-content/, but same results, still not working. Thanks for the hint — any other ideas?

Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?

All plugins disabled, no cache… good thought though!

Is the whole screen blank, or just the editor content?

Just editor content. Same issue when I try to customize a theme, I see the menu options on the left, but no content other than the skeleton of the customize page.

Oh, this is in the Theme file editor, not editing a page or post? If so, that’s a bit different from what the original user is discussing. Would you please open your own thread? https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting#postform

    Hi,
I wanted to let you know that in my case it was a Firewall issue. Tried another computer (in another network) and it worked.
Perhaps this helps some of you.

    Cheers

Excellent, thanks for sharing your solution!

I also have the problem like that there is no code in the editor but still the page is displaying with content which was previously created.
Please help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
