Editing Left Sidebar when using Widgets

  • Hi!

I just added the widgets option to my blog and played around with it and it’s very convenient and easy to move stuff around on the sidebars now…

but I can’t edit stuff that I added using the widgets!

For example — I want to edit the “Subscribe” section on my left sidebar but I can’t.

    Can someone help me please?

    xoxo,
    Angela

  • I don’t see a subscribe section… Maybe you’re fiddlin’ with it right now.

Are you saying while in the admin Presentation:SidebarWidgets page you can’t click on the little notepad type icon to configure the widget?

Or you can’t edit the widget ‘file’ to achieve what you need?

I guess that I can’t edit the file because there is no place for me to edit something like the ticker in the notepad.

I’m still not getting it… But I’ll jump in ;’)

There are a few ways to change widgets. One is through the admin interface Presentation:SidebarWidgets, where you can ‘configure’ the widget if the author allows any configuration.

The other is to edit the widget file directly.

How do I edit the widget file directly?
Where do I find the file?
    THANKS!
    xoxo.

Usually widget files go in wp-content/plugins/widgets…
