Editing Image Using WordPress After Upload to S3

I’m not 100% sure if this is a direct problem cause by this plugin but I’ve tried to narrow it down and can only come to the conclusion that WordPress has a problem communicating with S3.
When trying to crop an image that has been uploaded and is served from S3 I get an error.
