# Editing current page menu attribute

 * I am brand spanking new to WordPress/PHP so please bare with my simple question.
 * I am using the [AutoFocus+ theme](http://fthrwght.com/autofocus/) and have pretty
   much edited how I wanted except for one little thing.
 * I seem to be unable to find the attribute that controls the color/style text 
   in the menu of the active page I am on. For instance, in the menu of my About
   page [http://lwonder.com/index.php/about/](http://lwonder.com/index.php/about/)
   the word ‘About’ is a lighter shade of gray (how the heck do I edit this??). 
   I have been able to change the text decoration/style using the .sf.menu .current_page_item
   a{} attrib but that also changes the sub page items which I do not want.
 * So basically I would like to add text decoration to the active page menu item
   without affecting that pages sub items. I have tried to block inheritance of 
   sub menu items by adding !important, but that doesn’t work either. I’ve also 
   been able to edit the hover action of the menu items.
 * I hope my explanation makes sense.
 * Any help is appreciated.
