editing childthemes

    I have a wordpress site with a theme and a childtheme. If I want to make modifications to the childtheme, do I need to make a “childtheme” of the childtheme to make sure I don’t lose modifications in updates?

    Not usually, no. Did you create this child theme yourself or download it from somewhere else?

    Thanks for the reply. It is a purchased childtheme, so I still need to modify it but don’t want to lose my edits if I need to update the childtheme later

    You would need to ask the child theme’s vendor about this.
