Editing categories in Child Theme

    I have been asked to create a piece of sticky text for a category on a client website.

    My predecessor edited the archive.php directly as ‘sticky post’ does not work.

    I have tried to follow this example, copying and pasting the same commands , but I only manage to break both categories.

    Anyone have a bead on the problem?
