# Editing Appearance -> Google Analytics Error

 * I had to restore my domain (on DreamHost) and when I went back to my blog, I 
   noticed that my header was missing. No problem, I thought, since I’d just uploaded
   a new one and didn’t expect it to be there after the restore. But when I click
   on either of the following: Menus, Header, Themes, Background, I get taken to
   a white page with the following error:
 * “Google Analytics Stats
 * Warning: require_once(/home/moonstruckq/moonstruckquest.com/wp-content/plugins/
   google-analyticator/google-api-php-client/src/cache/Google_Cache.php): failed
   to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/moonstruckq/moonstruckquest.
   com/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/google-api-php-client/src/Google_Client.
   php on line 53
 * Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/moonstruckq/moonstruckquest.
   com/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/google-api-php-client/src/cache/Google_Cache.
   php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php5/lib/pear’) in /home/
   moonstruckq/moonstruckquest.com/wp-content/plugins/google-analyticator/google-

 * I get the same message when I go to the Google Analytics section, but not with
   the white death screen.
 * I’m unsure what happened during my restore that caused this, and I am baffled
   why my header has anything to do with GA.
    I don’t want to uninstall GA and cause(
   potentially) further mishaps, but I do have to say I don’t mind uninstalling 
   it altogether and getting rid of it. I just don’t know what that would do at 
   this point.

 * It sounds like not all of your files were restored.
 * Access your server via [SFTP or FTP](https://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients),
   or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to the `/
   wp-content/plugins/` and delete the whole `/google-analyticator/` directory from
   there.
 * Then, from Plugins -> Add New in your Dashboard, search for and reinstall Google
   Analyticator.

 * James – thanks for responding. Should I also go through the “deactivate/uninstall”
   process on the WP dashboard end prior to reinstalling?

 * No, because that might remove some of the plugin’s settings.
 * Just manually remove the files, then reinstall it through the Dashboard.

 * Thank you, James! I removed the google-analyticator directory and everything 
   went back to normal. Unsure if I will reinstall GA, but for now I am pleased 
   as punch. <3 thanks again!
