My site was up and running fine. However, the url was showing an IP address. So I went ahead and changed the permalinks for the site and the blog. Once I changed the permalinks for the blog, the site turned wierd.
Also, I am not able to login to the wp-admin panel any more.

I have my site hosted with bluehost. I tried asking them for help and they like a genious tried to enlighten me about the differences between hosting service and wordpress.

I am not sure what to do. Grateful for any help. Thanks friends.

Can you access the site using an ftp client?
    Or a cpanel?
If so, rename the .htaccess file which will probably be in the same directory as wp-config.php Just call it htaccessold

You might need the ftp client to 'show hidden files'.

That should help. Post back if it does not?

I did what you said and nothing happened. Is there something that I have to do in the DB?
