Editable text field
-
I want to have a editable text field in my sidebar.
Like on this site: http://www.scribbleportfolio.com, the column to the right.
So my client can edit that text under his picture.
Any tips please?

Your link appears to be dead, so I can only guess at what you want to achieve.
Is the client going to be responsible for editing other site content?
How about using InterconnectIT’s Spectacu.la Page Widget?
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/spectacula-page-widget/Put the image & text into a page & exclude that page from the navigation using Simon Wheatley’s Exclude Pages Plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/exclude-pages/
Then put that page into a Spectacu.la Page Widget on the sidebar.
Hey the site works now, seems like the server was down when you checked.
Can you double check if you understood what I ment, please?
Thank you very much.Nope! Still can’t see it :o(
server not found
Firefox can’t find the server at http://www.scribbleportfolio.comDoes it sound as if the solution I suggested enable you to do what you are trying to achieve?
sorry. here: http://www.scribblerportfolio.com/
Aha! I can see it at that URL
Assuming the client will be learning how to edit his own page & post content, the solution I described above will be able to do what you you want.
Enable the two plugins, Create a page called “About Bilbo” or whatever, add a your pic using the media uploader, type in some text & save the page. Exclude the page from navigation and add it to a page widget. You may want to add some stuff to the theme’s stylesheet to get it looking exactly how you want it, but that may not be necessary.
Alright! Thank you, I’ll try that!
